WHAT WE BELIEVE

An Affirmation of Our Faith

The Word of God

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testament, to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

The Trinity

We believe in God, the only true and living God, infinite, eternal and unchangeable, holy and just, existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God the Father

We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answer prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His Virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death and redemption through His blood. We believe in His bodily resurrection. In His ascension the right hand of the Father. In His personal return in power and glory and that He is true God and true man.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide.

Regeneration

We believe in salvation from everlasting punishment and entrance into a state of fellowship with God is secured only by a personal belief that Christ ‘bore our sins in His own body’ on the cross, and by a definite receiving of Christ. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

Holiness

We believe it is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit, being separated from sin and the world and fully consecrated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service.

Mankind

We believe, that man was created in the image of God: that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also the spiritual death which is separation from God: and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility became responsible as sinners in thought, word, and deed.

The Devil

We believe in the personality of the Devil as the enemy of Jesus Christ, the Saints and the Angels.

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, a spiritual organism of born again believers who publicly confess Christ. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that all Christians are called to witness for Christ, to preach the gospel to all nations, and to personally study the Bible through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit until each one is matured into the preordained purpose of God for him.

The Ordinance

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that Christian baptism in the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the true God. We believe that the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Last Things

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgement, the eternal felicity of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.
